I'm a sailor, writer, storyteller, and photographer living in Maine and traveling all over. I spend a lot of my time with people who live and work on and near rivers, lakes, and oceans. They're clam shack managers, owners of fancy boats, harbormasters, swimming instructors, seaweed harvesters, worm diggers, delivery drivers, mailboat captains, tall-ship crew, vacation home caretakers, ferry drivers, competitive rowers... You know, THE WATER SOCIETY.

I'm recording some of their stories, as told by the people who lived them, to let you in, if just a little bit, to the extremely diverse world of people who are gravitated to this special, sometimes-inhospitable, and adventure-inspiring element we all so deeply depend on.
